Yes, certainly the idea of conceiving and bringing out the rarities of the Maestro through ProjectGEM is first of its kind. But according to me in reality this project has little hardships and avoidable limitations. For instance in my case i had transfered money of Rs 2,000 on 20th May 2004 and after repeated reminders, Mr.Prasanth replied me that he did not get the money on 13th June 2004. Again I reconfirmed with the the money exchange here in Kuwait that the DD was acknowledged by ICICI, Bangalore on 21st may 2004.I had sent couple of emails to Mr. Prasanth about this and I am yet to get a response from him regarding this. I feel that the team has to be more assertive having agreed to shoulder such a project.
I trust there will be an answer for this.

Name: SivaVery nice project. I am yet to see good Telugu releases like Aatma bandhuvu (dubbed version of Muthal mariyathai) and several of IR gems of 80's. Most the tamil CDs are combinations of two or three films. What I am looking for are the songs and BGM from acknowledged classics in Telugu/Tamil/Kannada. I got one in Kannada, Prema raaga haadu gelathi, fantastic it is. Looking forward for Nammoora mandaara Hoove.

People satisfied with MP3 quality wouldnt even come into this site, let alone buy audio cds. Audio cd remains the ultimate in listening . mp3 is no where near audiophile quality . IR's mixing levels, base guitars , stereo imaging dynamic range of instruments used can only come alive in cds . (even that is a compromise , try to listen to master tape if u get an opp!)
i guess people have such poor audio equipment that they are not able to tell the diff .

the idea of making a dd or going and depositing a cheque a put off . cant i just pay online or isnt cash on courier delivery not feasible.
i found a couple of your cds at odyssey (thats how i came to know about u guys) .do u also give it to music stores .
how do i go about buying cds from u . no cheque, no dd ( got to wait too long for it to get cleared and al that stuff) if i deposit cash in your acc how will u know that i deposited , can i come to bangalore and buy cds directly from u .

Great Inititative guys! Hats off!
My suggestion is this: There could be a great business opportunity in selling the BGM CDs of high quality, with quality packaging, and good publicity. There is a huge market for it.
So, what you guys have done is a great first step toward that direction. Hats off for that.
With the positive feedback, sadly, theres one negative too.
I bought the "Dalapathi" Project gem CD and was thoroughly disappointed.
The pitch actually quivered, there was noise distortion.
I was appaled to hear Janaki's voice shiver and go from one pitch to another, and the super duper sound system at home producing noise at certain frequencies.
I do not know what the problem is.
If this is the quality of the product, I dounbt Project gem will pick up.
On the other hand if the Dalapathi CD is just one error, then I would appreciate an explanation.
Surely the master tapes (maintenance) could not have been a problem - I have cleaner mp3 files of the same.
I wanted to get a CD becaue of the enhanced values.
